Tuesday the 26 February 2008, Italian Olympic National Committee (CONI) president Giovanni Petrucci awarded the winners of the international contest “Arte e Sport” announced by the Olympic international committee to all the world’s Olympic committees and committed from the CONI to the National Italian Olympic academy. 56 painting and sculpture works of art, recently shown at the Museo del Corso in Roma, took part to the competition and the winners were awarded the international prize in Losanna. In the sculpture section of the competition, the first prize was given to Giordano Loi, from the Academy of fine art in Urbino, for his “frammenti di chimera”. The work of art is currently and permanently exposed at the rowing club Aniene, Lungotevere dell’Acqua Acetosa 119, Roma.
